Update
Right now we are in the middle of the #CranstonFire. My mom had to evacuate Idyllwild and come live with us but sadly due to the fire damaging 2 miles of electrical lines, our power went down and our entire community has been without power for 4 days in 100+ degree heat. Everyone has purchased a generator and we are told it could be three weeks before power is restored permanently.
Our electrical co-op, Anza Electric Cooperative, Inc., Inc. has been pretty amazing and they have been bringing in giant generators so that our little community can have shifts of power for a few hours each day.
It’s times like this where you learn a lot about yourself and appreciate the little things. A hot shower, a bathroom that works, a piece of toast in the morning and even a cup of crummy instant coffee if that’s all you have.
It’s been a terrible week but at the same time a very blessed week. Almost a supernatural week... because I can truly feel God’s Grace at work in my family and in all of my neighbors.
Please keep us in your prayers and be assured you will be in mine.
